This straight malt whiskey is distilled from a mashbill of 99% Colorado-grown malted barley with a splash of rye. Aged at least two years in full sized charred 53-gallon new, American oak. Bottled at 85 proof.

Sweet, smooth, and easy to sip. It is a softer bourbon, but is layered and has a great texture. Fruit notes and vanilla are clear throughout, with some light baking spices complimenting the Sauternes wine notes very nicely. Baker’s Bourbon is distilled at a lower proof and barreled & aged in small batches, allowing the bourbon to pull more toasted nut, fruit & vanilla flavor from the barrel wood.

Matured in 53 gallon American white oak barrels a minimum of 2 years, Colorado’s warm days and cool nights help shape the identity of this bourbon. BCD Wheated Bourbon is fermented and distilled with the same care as the Straight Bourbon but is then matured in 30 gallon American white oak barrels. Wheated Bourbon holds a dark mahogany color, and the aromas of vanilla, oak and caramel. On the palate it is slightly sweet with flavors of caramel and fruit followed with a smooth bourbon finish.

BCD Wheat Whiskey is distilled one batch at a time from a wash of 100% organic whole wheat. It is then matured in new American White Oak 30 gallon barrels. Once matured, each 30 gallon batch is down proofed to 90 proof and becomes its own unique batch.

Old Grand-Dad was a distiller named Basil Hayden who made his name by distilling a Bourbon whiskey made with a higher percentage of rye. Basil Hayden passed along the art of distilling to his son and then, in turn, to his grandson. It was the third generation distiller,
Colonel R.B. Hayden, who honored his grandfather by naming his justly-famed whiskey “Old Grand-Dad.” Its high rye content gives it a tasty spicy finish, mingled with spice and vanilla and caramel.
